Overview
Friends of Chris Corry ("we," "our," or "us") is the official campaign committee for Chris Corry's candidacy for the Washington State House of Representatives, 15th Legislative District, Position 1. We're committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits this website, donates to the campaign, or engages with our communications.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here. We may update this Policy from time to time — the date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
Information We Collect
Information you provide voluntarily
When you fill out a form, sign up for updates, make a donation, volunteer, endorse the campaign, or otherwise engage with us directly, you may provide:
- Name, email address, postal address, and (optionally) phone number
- Employer name, occupation, and ZIP code (required by law for certain campaign finance disclosures)
- Payment information when making a contribution — processed securely by our donation platform (see Donations & Financial Information)
- Any messages, endorsement notes, or other content you submit through our forms
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, certain information is collected automatically through your browser and the third-party services we use, including:
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Browser type, operating system, and device information
- Pages visited, time spent on the site, and referring URLs
- Anonymous interaction data such as clicks and scroll behavior
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. As part of delivering the fonts to your browser, Google may receive your IP address and basic browser information. We do not provide Google with anything beyond what is needed to render the page.
Information from form submissions
The contact, volunteer, and other forms on this site are processed through Formspree (formspree.io). When you submit a form, the contents — along with your IP address and the time of submission — are transmitted to Formspree, which forwards them to us by email. Formspree's handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Send you campaign updates, newsletters, event invitations, and volunteer opportunities you have requested
- Respond to your inquiries and follow up on volunteer or endorsement signups
- Process donations and comply with campaign finance reporting requirements
- Improve the website and understand how visitors use it
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information with service providers, campaign vendors, compliance professionals, donation processors, the email platform, analytics providers, and other entities where necessary to operate the campaign, comply with the law, process contributions, communicate with supporters, or otherwise support campaign activity described in this Policy.
We generally do not share supporter contact information (such as email lists) with outside political organizations, party committees, or allied campaigns. In limited cases where such sharing serves the campaign's purposes — for example, joint events or coalition activity — any sharing will be consistent with this Policy. Email us at chris@chriscorry.com with questions about specific data-sharing practices.
We may share information as required by law, including campaign finance disclosure obligations under Washington State election law. Donor information submitted through our contribution pages is subject to public disclosure under the rules of the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission (PDC).
Phone Numbers & Text Messages
Phone numbers are optional on our forms. If you choose to provide one, we may use it to follow up about volunteer opportunities, schedule a call related to a contact request, or coordinate event logistics. We may occasionally send a text — for example, to confirm a volunteer shift or remind a registered supporter about a campaign event nearby.
We are not currently operating a recurring SMS broadcast program. If we ever do, we will tell you separately and ask you to opt in before adding you. Standard message and data rates may apply if we send any text. You can reply STOP to opt out of receiving texts from us at any time, or HELP for help. You can also email chris@chriscorry.com at any point to ask us not to contact you by phone.
We never sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing.
Donations & Financial Information
Online contributions to Friends of Chris Corry are processed through Anedot (anedot.com), a third-party campaign fundraising platform. We do not store your full credit card or banking information on our servers — payment processing is handled entirely by Anedot, which maintains its own security standards and privacy policy.
By making a contribution through our donation page, you are also subject to Anedot's terms of service and privacy policy. You must be 18 years of age or older to make a contribution. Processing fees may apply and are subject to change at Anedot's discretion. All transactions are final and non-refundable except as required by law.
Washington State campaign finance law requires us to collect and publicly disclose certain donor information — including name, mailing address, employer, and occupation — for contributions above applicable reporting thresholds. By making a contribution, you acknowledge that this information may appear in public PDC filings.
If you provide your email during the donation process, we may send you campaign-related communications. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of any email. We send emails through Mailchimp.
Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies — small files stored in your browser — to improve your experience and understand how visitors use the site. Cookies help us remember your preferences and analyze traffic patterns.
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymized data about site usage, including pages visited and time on site. The data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. We use it to improve the website and our outreach.
You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block, delete, or be warned about cookies. Disabling cookies may limit some functionality of the site. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking across sites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Email Communications
If you sign up for email updates, we will send newsletters, event invitations, occasional fundraising appeals, and volunteer opportunities. We send these through Mailchimp, which receives and stores your email address and basic engagement data (such as opens and clicks) in order to deliver and report on the messages.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. Unsubscribe requests are processed immediately. We do not share or rent email subscriber lists with outside political organizations or with any third party for commercial or marketing purposes.

We will honor deletion requests for any data not subject to these retention obligations.
